Kenya - Othaya Ichimama AA
Tasting Notes:
This Kenya coffee offers a bright, savory cup with a unique salty twist. The volcanic soil and high altitude give it a crisp, zesty structure balanced by savory flavors, creating a refreshing and complex taste experience.
History & Processing:
This coffee comes from the rich volcanic soils of Nyeri County. The farmers grow coffee on small plots, alongside crops like vegetables and tea. After hand-picking, the cherries are sorted, depulped, and fermented, then dried on raised beds for 2-3 weeks. The careful processing ensures a clean, bright flavor profile. With Fair Trade certification, this coffee supports sustainable farming and better incomes for the farmers involved.
